We distribute our product offerings and expertise through two operating entities:
Montpelier Underwriting Inc. (MUI), a wholly owned subsidiary of Montpelier Re Holdings Ltd. (NYSE:MRH), is an approved Lloyd’s cover holder. Our home office is in Hartford, CT with branches in Shelton and Stamford, CT, Chicago, Kansas City and Boston. MUI underwrites a variety of reinsurance (treaty and facultative) and specialty insurance (programs/MGA's) at Lloyd’s through Montpelier Syndicate 5151 (MRE).

Montpelier US Insurance Company (MUSIC), our US non-admitted insurance company, carries the group AM Best rating of A- (and financial category XIV). MUSIC specializes in excess & surplus lines insurance providing a broad base of coverage for a wide variety of risks that would otherwise have limited options due to their size, nature and/or their unique hazards. Based in Scottsdale, Arizona, we conduct business on both a binding authority and brokerage basis.
